This plant grows best in full to partial sun. This species stem has a beautiful blue/silver glaucous waxy coating with golden yellow spines. It is one of the most blue columnar cacti there is. This is a columnar species growing to about 20ft tall at full maturity. It will branch to form a candelabra tree form. This plant needs regular water during the summer and to be kept dry in the winter. Avoid frost in winter, keep above 45-50F. The flower color is a pale rosey pink/creamy white. This is a nocturnal blooming species
